🕉️ Jyotirlinga Legend:
According to the Shiva Purana, a demon named Dushana was harassing devotees in Ujjain. Lord Shiva appeared in the form of Mahakal to protect them and destroyed the demon. At the request of the sages, he took residence as a linga there and became known as Mahakaleshwar.
